Al Gore addressed the Web 2.0 Summit last Friday. His message? Web 2.0 technologies (blogs, wikis, etc.) can play a critical role in getting the word out about climate change and galvanizing people into action.
Web 2.0 needs a purpose, which according to Gore ought to be:
To bring about a higher level of consciousness about our relationship to this planet and the imminent danger and opportunity we face…. We have everything we need to save it… but…we have to take this issue and raise it in the awareness of everyone.
